Welcome to our travel blog!
To be honest, we’d rather talk about dream destinations and hypothetical itineraries than about ourselves. The internet—and especially social media—is already overflowing with travel influencers who showcase more of their personal lives than the places themselves. That couldn’t be further from our style or personality. The reality of travel is far removed from an Instagram filter.
We’re a couple who, since the day we met, have shared a love for exploring the world. Near or far, it doesn’t matter. Traveling constantly pushes us out of our comfort zone; it tests us. It teaches us to adapt to different cultures, to foods that might not be to our taste, and to rules of life that are nothing like what we’re used to. There’s a travel quote that says:
And it’s true that when you travel, no two days are the same, and there’s always something new happening.
At first, we went on a couple of organized trips, but we quickly changed course, and for over a decade now, we’ve always traveled independently, designing our itineraries from start to finish.
We’re versatile, and every trip we take has its own unique style—whether it’s backpacking through Southeast Asia for several months or taking a road trip through Switzerland. We can camp in a national park one day and stay at a resort on a beautiful island the next, and we’ll enjoy both experiences 100%!
So, how do we manage to travel so much? Since we’ve been together—many years now—we’ve worked hard to live more sustainably and embrace a minimalist lifestyle. We try not to buy things we don’t need, and our savings are dedicated to traveling. There’s no secret, no magic formula, and no shortcuts. It’s all about working, saving, traveling, and repeating. And, of course, avoiding unnecessary expenses.
Let us share another quote we love, though its origins are unclear:
This travel blog began over 10 years ago with the idea of sharing the new places we discover, along with the adventures and misadventures we experience along the way. From the thrill of standing before the Egyptian pyramids for the first time to the panic of witnessing a tsunami evacuation alarm in Thailand (which, luckily, didn’t happen!).
Over time, we’ve learned, grown, and applied the skills from our professions to develop and maintain this blog. Today, we write guides packed with useful information based on our experiences traveling independently, so you can plan your ideal trip with all the tips we wish we’d known beforehand.
We always share our personal and honest perspective. Our priority is for this travel blog to remain authentic, genuine, and transparent.
Every article we write takes many hours of hard work, but it’s all done with love. If you enjoy what we do, one way to support the blog (which comes with its share of maintenance costs) is by using this Booking link or this one for excursions whenever you’re booking a trip. It won’t cost you anything extra—many times, you’ll even get a discount—and you’ll help us tremendously in keeping this blog going! 💞
We hope you enjoy our content, and thank you for being on the other side!
